It is the policy of the Board of Elders not to discuss a specific case of the UFMCC Clergy Judiciary Process during the proceedings or after its conclusion.
For valid and important reasons, the UFMCC Clergy Judiciary Process requires confidentiality. Confidential information is provided only to relevant parties as specified by the rules of the Process.
Additionally, within the rules of the Process, limited confidential information on the results of a specific case are provided to those individuals with a qualified privilege and need to know of such results.
It is unfair and irresponsible for any parties to a case under the UFMCC Clergy Judiciary Process to release, divulge or discuss such confidential information with anyone outside of the Process.
It is also unfair and irresponsible for persons other than parties of a specific case under the UFMCC Clergy Judiciary Process to make assumptions or judgments about the results of that case. Such assumptions or judgments are always based upon incomplete information and therefore are inherently inaccurate.
The Board of Elders urges everyone to exercise restraint in discussion of specific cases under the UFMCC Clergy Judiciary Process. Further, the Board of Elders encourages everyone to hold each of the individuals involved with or impacted by such events in your prayers.
